I posted this at tesoro.com also.
Hey all, thinking of buying a Tejon or Fisher ID Excel. I really like what I hear from Tejon users so far, but also like what the Excel users are saying. The Excel has a meter , which is nice, but I know that it is far from foolproof and can be a hindrence as well. I'd like to hear your experiences, in particular with the Tejons sound.
How has your Tejon been for you with coins?
How is it to ID by sound alone (ie. the experience, difficulty)?
How is the sound on the Tejon?
How is the learning curve?
Can you pick a coin out that is sitting next to iron or ...? How is that sound wise?
Recommended headphones for it?
I like details
Ok, ok, enough questions.
Thanks all,
Al
