Tejon doing well hitting things others missed

I am continuing to be impressed with the Tejon,s performance, Example 1.- I went up to Isle Minnesota, and visited a small park using the 5.75" DD coil I went to the tot lot ,which had gravel of a very mineralized nature as it was hard to ground balance on it it was 3/8 pea gravel and more than half of it was basalt and iron formation and granite seemed it was hit hard finding nothing on the surface. then i got next to the big Iron go round thing and right in the hardest packed spot of this gravel i get a signal , so I switched to disc 2 and still got the signal dug down 5" solid and pulled out a copper penny. it may not seem like much of a find at 1st . but as much as this has been hit by others and how deep it was and how green it just goes to show the Tejon is really a power house of a detector , again i went to a wood chip lot and nothing on the suface fuzz it was gone over , but i get a signal and down 6" up comes a dime this is in a wood chip lot and i was just going to leav because i was getting nothing and i got a faint signal and from way down 8_ to 9" deep up dome a nickel and it had been down in the ground along time i would have figured someone would have found it but the Tejon was the one to find it Glad i did not sell it . its starting to impress me .

Sounds like you're getting to know the Tejon better, with good results.

Glad you are starting to like the Tejon.

If it ever rains again I will start back but right now the ground is like concrete here.

Foreign object, I know what you are saying about the clay soils, thats the way it was in Isle it was all i could do to dig 2" in that clay soil

Had my wife measure at the point at which I got the point I would not dig a quarter on the ground,I held the coil stationary while she measured, unreal 28".
What's weird is I have a bicentennial Kennedy half and only get 13"?

that's a ground balance issue on the silver coin tune the detector to the big silver via the GB and see how it changes depth on big silver.

Nice that it's working for you in your tough areas. The dd coil is working for you. Next spring I'm getting the 5.75 concentric for my mild ground. It will probably become my main coil.

Glad you are getting along with the Tejon better and didn't sell it!

Good going learning more about your tejon, your crow buddy will be happy you still have it.:goodnight:
