Tejon Disc.1 and Disc.2 settings?

Only had a Tejon for a very short time and got rid of it quickly..... But with that said, I would guess that you'd set your disc 1 to just below nickel and disc 2 just above nickel? Problem with that would be the DEEP thin worn nickels can come in at different ranges and right in there with the older beaver tail type pulltabs. I would think that if you set a tight nickel "window" between the 2 discs that you will miss a lot of the DEEP older V's and Buffies? You might be able to eliminate a lot of the newer square tabs but bottom line will still be that if you want to dig nickels you're gonna dig some pulltabs.........

PS that tejon goes deeeeeep

I added an extra disc to my silver umax and loved this setup. Set disc 1 to your normal preference- mine was just at low foil. Set disc. 2 where old style tabs BREAK UP but aren't totally eliminated. Then, hunt In disc 1 until you get a signal. Switch to disc 2 and:
If the signal goes silent, it's in the nickel zone.
If it breaks up, the tab zone,
Finally, if it stays, the clad zone!
Be sure not to test with one of the newer statabs that fall in the nickel zone.
