Tejon depth?

I am always comparing my detectors by air testing a dime. I recently purchased a new Tejon and noticed it did not get the same depth as my old( 2 yrs) Tejon. I sent it to Tesoro and they said it worked perfectly and sent it back. Several more folks I talked with said they just don't get the depth they used to get.

Mine is older so I wouldn't know . I would trade coils between the 2 and see what happens and also make sure the GB is the same. I've never been able to get the depths that I've read about, but it may be my ground. I've heard 14 inches on a bullet, I don't think they make one that will do that in my area.
