Tejon coils

Does anybody know how the 5x10 widescan coil compares to 5.75 widescan coil on the Tejon? I am happy with 9x8 coil but want another coil to go over some areas again.

5x10 widescan discussion

Rick,
Check out the link that takes you down a few posts in this forum. I haven't used the 5x10 widescan coil yet, but it is now one I want to get. I do highly recommend having a 5.75 inch coil available for the Tejon. I like the concentric, but the widescan version is widely liked too.

I've found the 5.75 inch concentric to only give up about an inch to 1.5 inches in depth in air test (perfect conditions) over the standard 9x8 coil. In the ground, have pulled some deep targets in trashy conditions with the 5.75 inch coil where it was only possible to isolate and dig shallow targets with the standard coil while getting a lot of trash chatter that I struggled to make heads or tails of. The smaller coil makes things a lot clearer in trashy conditions.
