I am looking at that cool for my 4 pin machines, Vaquero and Cibola. I'm thinking it will be close to that on the Vaquero. The Tejon seems deeper in most tests I've seen but even 2" less than your numbers is impressive for that size coil!!WV62 said:The NEL Snake is 3.75 x 6.75 inches.
The air test numbers are for the Tesoro Tejon only, I have a NEL Snake for my F75 and it is air testing about the same as the 5" round on that machine. Just didn't want anybody to think you could go get a NEL Snake for any other brand of detector and get the same results. So for other brands I would suggest trying to find somebody that has tried one and see what they think of the coil on their brand of machine. F75 and F19 is not crazy deep but good the the trash.
That is what I did, but couldn't find anybody that had tried one on a Tejon so I bought it with no idea what it would do, but I am pleasantly surprised.

I know this will not help anybody with what they will get as far as depth in anybody's ground.

That was my take on the 5.75 WS when I had my first Tejon, for me here in WV both of the 5.75's were giving me right at the same depth as the 9x8. Now I may be wrong but I always thought the wide scan coil is a DD. But I wouldn't bet a wheat penny on that.
I did know the NEL snake coil was listed as a DD. So if there is a difference in a WS coil to a DD that may explain why that little snake coil is giving some pretty good air test numbers over the 9x8. One thing you will notice if you look back at my air test numbers is that the NEL snake is better on coins and not as good on gold as the Tesoro coils are.
So if you were a coin hunter the NEL snake may be the best choice and if you are going for the gold you may want to stay with the Tesoro coils.
So far I have only had the Tejon out with the NEL snake for about 2 hours of hunting, and I didn't notice any problems with the little coil, but also can't say it was bring dead ground back to life either.
