Tejon can find nuggets !

Bobbylikesgold

New member
Even though the Tejon is not a dedicated gold nugget hunter , it can SURE find them in moderate to medium ground just using the stock coil , whats great about this unit is its ability to signal on specimens that may only show traces of gold , admittedly these need to be very close to the coil & the gold contend can be greater then visible .

Being a dope I can't figure how to post a pic ?

Hi Terry ,

The story is that going over the huge amounts of quartz that was discarded back in a 1880s reef mine , they only took the best looking ore' by horse cart to to stampers traveling big distances , because of this , all ore was hand picked , what looked like low grade was dumped close by.

The owner of this land would viciously stop any access till recently , it blow-ed my mind what he wanted  but got in , the stuff found is all specimen material , from super rich to just bits that can be seen , the go is busting up any quartz that gives a signal to check inside .

Whats amazing is how did old guys missed these bits , maybe they only checked the bigger stuff for colour ?

Also using a old Whites Goldmaster 11 with a 6x4 shooter coil , its a performer

Terry, they missed it because it was probably covered in clay when they extracted it,and it couldnt be seen.Through the years in the rain, the clay has washed off.Its common to run into this
