This is the area I have hit pretty hard with a Cibola with standard coil and CZ6A with 5 inch coil. Tejon had 5.75 concentric coil on. I think the first discriminator pot / switch is acting up a little. When first disc is set below foil it acts like the switch engages intermittently and puts it in all metal then sometimes breaks back to discrimination. In all metal the detector pretty much just screams in this court yard. So I ran the first disc pointed at foil even though I wanted to be just a little above iron. Second disc between nickel and tab where the square tabs sound scratchy.
Re-swept area I covered about a week ago paying more attention to the edge of the sidewalk and did an additional 10 x 20 foot area. Coins at the edge of reinforced concrete are a little tricky; and with all the trash it goes slow.
Found 22 nickels, 24 pennies, 7 dimes, 1 quarter, 46 tabs, 1 light bulb screw base and a small handful of foil. Most of the coins were between 6 and 9 inches deep. 5 or 6 times, I dug a tab then still had a coin deeper in the same hole.
Most of what I found with the Cibola and CZ6A in this area was less than 6 inches down. I turned up a lot of quarters with those two in this area. Since I have found many coins deeper in other areas with both the Cibola and CZ6A with the same coils, I am thinking that masking may have something to do with it. The Tejon does seem to be turning up more than I expected from this area. I turned up a gold ring in this area with the Cibola ... maybe another one is hiding.
