Tejon as Coin hunter

If I was using a Tejon as a Coin hunter and did not want to dig a bunch of Pull Tabs could I first Cherry Pick with Disc above tabs. Then go back over the ground with Disc set below the Nickel and check each signal at slightly over Nickel to see if it disappears to determine tabs?

I just got a tejon but haven't been able to use it yet due to knee surgery. I did notice in air testing it that pull tabs disc out a little after nickels do. So maybe you could set disc 1 below nickels and set disc 2 right where pull tabs start breaking up but not completely disappear, indicating target is probably a pull tab. Check each target using both discs. That might be better than going over the same area multiple times. Just a thought.

Too bad they don't have three positions instead of two

Yes but you will still get a lot of half tabs.

You didn't say but I assume your are using both disc.

Well sure, no problem doing that!

daddyflea,

I'm sure if you wanted one bad enough with three positions somebody here could modifie it............Doubt there is much room for such a modification though + the cost would be rather high (labor & parts).
