Testing them on a piece of colonial gold I found...

Your videos are good, however, I notice a certain bias against Tesoro? There were other beep and dig single tone detectors made. Why not compare your whizbang digital against a Fisher 1236X? There are a lot of old timers like me who just love the Tesoro company. Irregardless of your comparisons, we will still continue to use them. Having detected since 1987 starting with Garrett, I currently own 30 detectors and enjoy all of them. Why not just try to enjoy the hobby, and stop the bias against one company?

I don't believe Calabash is biased in anyway he uses different detectors his videos are among some of the best made IMHO.

I have stated this many times before. Until a detector company comes up with the technology to discern the difference between gold and aluminum, not much will change with detector technology!!!!!! If you are using a metered machine to determine trash from silver coins which are very rare in our hunts today, then you are missing the beat with metal detecting. I mean, how much is a mercury dime worth? How much time and gas have you expended, only to possibly one Merc?????? That dime is most likely worth a Buck! And you have expended $20 to $30 bucks in gas getting there to find mostly trash!!!!!! A metered machine cannot and will not tell you the difference between GOLD and aluminum. If you do not dig an astronomical amount of trash, then you will definitely miss the gold even with a digital metered machine. The only GREAT metered machine that I own for silver coins is the Minelab CTX. And then those good targets are very hard to find at best. A $50 dollar bounty hunter will beat any Minelab or Anfibio if it used at the right location!

Mostly found with beep and dig single tone Tesoros. These are just a few pictures over the years. I sold over $6000 a few years back. That was one years finds with his not so favorite "Cibola".

I've shown you some of mine. Let's see some of yours??

Some of this year's finds. Found with a Tesoro Cibola with cleansweep coil and my wife primarily uses a Tesoro Cutless that is worth about 50 dollars. Most of this is beach finds, and most would have not been found with digital whizbangs!

Dude, your wrong, it’s not the machine or the company.......

It’s the user.

The machine is only an extension of the user.

No malice here, please just enjoy the hobby and be good to others who need your assistance.

Found by my 87 year old father with a $100 dollar Bounty Hunter metal detector from Walmart. I don't have some of his pictures, but he has found as many bullets as I have over the years. He cannot hunt now, as his age restricts him from metal detecting. He often reminds me of many hunts that we have done over the years. God Bless you older hunters who can still detect!!!!

Hey bulletman, to each his own. You enjoy digging a few hundred targets for a piece of gold. Speaking for myself, that type of hunting is not my cup of tea. Like I did today, I would rather dig 80 targets with a detector that has a screen on it and 70 of those targets being coins. 3 of which, were silver. 2 lowly dimes and a Wash. quarter. Actually it was one of those rare outings for me that I found enough clad and silver to cover gas expenses. If, however, the cost of my hobby was a concern of mine or presenting a hardship, I would do something else. But since its not I'll continue to hunt in the manner I enjoy and you I trust will do the same. HH jim tn

Yep, to each its own. You have the right to post just as we have the right to detect with Beep and dig detectors!!!!!!

Exactly Jim!!!! Having served this country for 15 years upon active duty! I should have the same first amendment rights as anyone??? If someone should post some "hate" posts against a particular company, then I will call them out?? I hold no credence against one company, so why is anyone accepted to defame a company such as Tesoro????

I don't think ole Calabash means any ill towards any one detector co. He bashed the A T Pro/Gold/Max a while ago. I just chalked it up to his really not spending any serious detecting time with any of the A T's. of which, I have a Pro. Anyway, you have a great time in Florida. Wonderful time of the year to be down there. And a BIG THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. HH jim tn
