Tejon and the speck of foil

That's precisely why I run the discrimination on my Tejon in the mid foil range. I'm not chasing those tiny bits of foil and bird shot.

I use a Gatorade foil cap as a discrimination marker. I'll lose tiny gold chains at that discrimination setting, but I'll still be able to find baby size gold rings.

In a tot lot or a clean sports field I'll lower the discrimination some, but in a regular trashy park, no way! I'm not wasting my time and knees.

Bigest Tejon problem is brutal discrimination, one way to cure this change discrimination pot. I did with ten turn pot the same what people use in ground balance modes, but my hangs outside the box---size issue Gold maxx power with eliptical coil even more dangerous for small targets, but in some situations to much sensitivity add problem but not helps, with FBS detectors is good example if you found something it will be something but not 100 tiny led or foil droplets.

Thats why I really like the Mirage P,I, but then if I was looking for small gold the T would be the thing, but like tab says that small foil would slow you down so much . Stasys thats brilliant using a 10 turn for disc, I bet that works really well the Vaquero is just about that sensitive as well , and thats all I can handle

Well, I don't think its a problem, its designed to do that. The Tejon has a gain of like One Million times, so its sensitive to tiny things like that, especially balled up or in a round disk shape. But, even hitting that tiny foil ball the Tejon can still work around smaller Iron. But, with almost every positive there it a negative and its so with the Tejon. I've found with mine that if I run the discrimination to around the "L" in foil I can move through small Iron really well when I'm on the search for jewelry anyway, now for coin shooting I would run different settings for sure.
I think the Tejon would do very well at prospecting if put to the challenge.

Heck, my Compare does that!

My Compadre does that as well, but it won't hit a nickel at 12 inches or more like the Tejon will. The Tejon is both super sensitive and deep.:)

that is pretty impressive. i have picked up very small fishing line sinkers, around the size of bb, even ones for fly fishing line. with the vaquero and stock 8x9 coil. until i see what this cazador is about and its price. the tejon will be my next detector.
