Tejon and small targets

Canewrap

New member
Would using the 12X10 cut down on the real small targets the Tejon sees? I don't need to be picking up birdshot. Some of the areas we hunt are covered in it because of bird hunters in the woods.

Since no one seems to know if using this coil would help with the impossibly small stuff. Does anyone have any tricks on how to not pickup the incredibly small birdshot?

I am plagued with buckshot. I find that if I get a decent signal and lift the coil just a little, and it drops off fast it is usually something very small. I set the second disc at nickel to check the buckshot,as they are right below a nickel.

In spite of generally accepted wisdom, I haven't seen a marked loss of sensitivity to small targets with the larger coils. At least not down to dime sized targets, but haven't really tried them on bird shot.
