Tejon and high mineralized ground

Today I took a run on an high mineralized area with my black Tejon (UK version).
Even if it had the 12x10 DD coil it did not impressed me at all...I found only superficial targets.
I balanced a little positive, discr. 1 just after all metal click and alt. discr. in iron, sens. just before boost.
So, Have to think that it's true that tejon does not perform at its best in though grounds?
I'd like to know Your experience.
Best regards,

i have heard it gets less depth than the vaquero in mineralized ground thats why i will not buy one now i see the report i heard is tru from your coments

Interesting. I have not hit ground where the Tejon didn't ground balance well. I have read that others have been in areas that the Tejon didn't handle well but Vaquero did.
