Tejon Air Test (2 coils)

Hungarian

New member
I am getting 13 inches air testing my tejon with th stock coil and a quarter. With the Double D 12x10 I am getting out to 17 inches with the quarter. Is this what you fellow tejon owners are seeing?

With maximum sensitivity, the stock coil readings you have are about what I get in both all metal and discriminate mode with the discriminator set at iron. I do not get much more than the stock coil with the 12 x 10 in an air test ... maybe 1/2 inch more. I get about an inch more on a nickle than I do a quarter with all the coils I have as long as the discriminator is lower than mid-foil.

The 3x18 clean sweep is only about 1 to 1.5 inches less than the stock coil with similar settings in an air test.

If my 12 x 10 were that much hotter, I'd have to seriously consider using it more where it isn't too trashy to use it.
Cheers,
tvr

In "silent" hunting it is necessary to put threshold tone on a maximum. Depth will be even more.
That's true but discrimination will be more inaccurate
That's good for areas with less trash :bouncy:
