This is my first post as new to forum. I have been using my Tejon for some years now and just purchased a10" x 12" Widescan Coil that I am returning because I think its faulty. When working on stubble it will not GB and chatters every time it brushes against the slightest thing. On ploughed field it GB without problem and gives impressive depth results, far deeper than my standard coil. Somebody has told me the SEF butterfly coil will give better depth and iron discrimination, yet I can find no mention of this on the web or other forums. Can anybody tell me from their own experiences??
I regularly go out with my old pa (79 and still going well) who is using a Goldmaxx power with a large SEF and he seems to just keep pulling out that hammered and I feel I should be going just as deep as him but cannot match him.
