Hi everybody, it's me again. I'm confused about the Technetics. This is the T2/Goldbug forum, but it looks like Technetics also has the G2. Will coils for the G2 work with the Goldbugs? Thank you, kev

Technetics T2 Or G2 compatibility with Goldbug?

Sorry-Right This is the G2 forum, not the T2 forum. Duh!! Thank you for your help. OK, G2 coils work with the Goldbugs. I was just on kellyco. I don't see any 13" Ultimate DD coils for the G2 listed there. So what 13" Ultimate coil are these G2 users using? Sorry for the confusion. As an aside, maybe I should of ordered a G2 instead of the GB DP. There might be more larger coils available for the G2. Do you have any thoughts about tbis? Thanks, halfbaked

now i'm pretty sure but what your looking for is basicly coils that would fit the fisher F-5 i'm pretty sure your gold bug would interchange with that, anyone's welcome to step in if i'm wrong about this but i don't think i am

MassSalt -- you did not make a mistake ordering a Gold Bug DP (Pro) instead of a G2, from a coil perspective...they are the same unit, only the rod configuration and such is different. Any coil which works on a G2 works on the Gold Bug Pro, and vice versa.
ALSO -- both the G2 and Gold Bug Pro will work properly when fitted with any DD coil that is compatible with any of the "Greek" series (i.e. "Frat. Bros.) Teknetics machines -- the Delta, Gamma, and Omega (such as the 13" Ultimate for the Omega, as morelic55 pointed out above). Aside from these, no other coils are recommended by First Texas for use on a G2 or Gold Bug Pro.
The ONE "sort of" exception, if I'm not mistaken, is that the 5x10" elliptical DD coil designed for the G2/Gold Bug Pro is also compatible with the Fisher F5, if I'm not mistaken -- but no other F5 coil is recommended for use with the G2/Gold Bug Pro. I'm less certain about this (the F5 using the same 5x10" DD as the G2/GB Pro), but almost sure; the other points, though, I am much more certain of...
