tech question

Fired up the cibola today and am having trouble. When I turn it on and the battery check beeps then I get a constant loud tone that cannot be adjusted. I have changed the battery without result. The detector was just shipped from my home in OKLA and received it yesterday, was packaged well. There is no obvious damage to the detector that I can see.

Please give me some ideas.

Sounds like something has come loose inside. I would send it in to Tesoro to have them check it and fix it.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will try the coil changing idea and see how it pans out.
