Anyone any ideas.
I found a tea spoon down the beach the other day, cannot read much but I can read (5dwts per doz) .
Don't think it is that old but I should like to know what it means.
Also found a 1923 Florin.
Hope to get out again tomorrow with the, SE I expect it will be loads if fishing weights as usual.

I believe it means means how much silver plate is applied to a said dozen over a given metal.
Any pictures?

Thanks. I thought that may be it but I was not sure. No picture as it is in very bad condition.

Dwts are dime weights I believe and is used in measuring precious metals.
