TDK WR-700....... wireless

Hi ya'all, I was wondering if anyone used these wireless HF for there ETrac. And if so how are they . I just don't want to spend all that money and not get what im looking for . Corded HF has to go.

I tried the tdk wireless with my etrac and although they worked fairly well there was just enough lag time that it was frustrating in a multiple signal situation such as high trash, i found that the coil was typically a foot past the target before you heard the signal, however when slowing your sweep speed to a snails pace the tdk's worked very well, I still went back to my pro gold's and am happy with them. I think I will wait until a better set of wireless headphones come out that are specifically made for metal detectors.

I use the TDK WR 700, I find they work well and haven't noticed any lag time with them. The biggest problem I had was that the ear muffs sit on top of your ears and every time you bent over to dig a target the headphones would slip off your head. I overcame this problem by removing the original ear cushions and replacing them with larger ones that fit right over your ear, a bit like the Koss head phones do. Finding the larger ear cushions that are the correct size is not easy and as it was I had to modify the new cushions so they would fit the ear piece.

Used to use the TDK WR700 and there was a delay - can't really recommend them for the E-Trac. You could adjust mentally to it but it was noticeable and was at times a bit bothersome trying to locate the target. In the end, accidentally dropped the detector and the xmitter male pin snapped off at the plug from the shock. Pretty useless with a broken transmitter. Would like to use them for other things if someone wants to sell their xmitter.

Anyway, switched to Rapoo H3070 wireless headphones. They have zero delay, are way lighter, don't slip around on the head, pair easily (moreso than the WR700) and a charge lasts 6-8 hrs. And they are cheap (yet well made). No complaints with this one.

Rapoos are available online. According to the propaganda they are available at WalMart but the actual availability keeps getting bumped further and further into the future. I ordered some and are supposedly on their way thru Yi Tao out of Hong Kong ----if that doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling. If they ever show up I'll give you a review. My guess is the delay won't be an issue with my E-trac but the F75 could be another story.

I purcased two last year from the address below. Price hasn't changed...
