TDI Relic Hunting Training Video

This is absolute horrible video quality....I wanted the audio to remain good and didn't really focus on the video quality aspect. This allowed me to hit the 10 minute limit for YouTube and to keep the file size small as well. I think this will help a lot of you guys learn to set the machine up, how to pinpoint, how to tell the nails from bullets, and I give a very small sample of what real world targets sound like there at the end. Hope this helps some of you folks out in the field!!

Good job Daniel. That's how I set my TDI up. I have a question for you though. You made the comment in the video above on how we should all use the frequency knob more often, I would love to see and hear a video with the different sounds you get when adjusting this control. I have played with the thing many times and really find that it makes little difference. Am I missing something. I have purposely worked under power wires to get interference and still now change, ( not a lot of interference for that matter either ) Does the warble sound a bit like when you set the threshold?
Good hunting.
:ausflag: (Well not far from this country anyway )

The comment I made about the frequency adjustment knob was to those at the organized hunts (lots of other detectors). There has been a mad rush to the pulse machines and from what I've observed, all pulse machines don't play well together. All the frequency shifter does is just let you kinda work "close" to other machines. There seems to be more greedy folks coming to the hunts...that when they see you dig a few holes in a spot, they assume if they get in your back pocket, that they'll start finding stuff too. More than once I have been ran completely out of a hot spot by folks like this...if they come in with another TDI, it's like they don't care their machine is acting up and get closer to ya.

Now I hunted with a fella at both hunts, who also had a TDI. His machine and my machine were very compatible together...we could hunt within 4 or 5 feet of one another and not hear any interference. But there were some other TDIs in the field that we couldn't get within 50 yards of, no matter whether you adjusted the frequency shifter too.
