TDI looking for depth

Made a decision to purchase the new TDI ....I Have some reservations. I have been using a Mine Lab American Gold Striker for what seems like forever. My main purpose for buying the TDI was depth. My striker never misses be it tin chips,lead or GOLD! .... 6 inches and its good. maybe a bit more. Hope the hype pays off regarding depth and the TDI

Hi Rimcountry. Welcome to the TDI users. You can exspect about twice the depth as the ML with the TDI. First you should go here and read every thing on the TDI. http://forums.whiteselectronics.com/forum.php you will also find lots of TDI info here http://tdi.invisionplus.net/?mforum=tdi&s=6a3f08165763d390cad33bc4df238eaa&act=idx .Then get a Jimmy coil or the 7.5" DF coil for trashy areas and some great small gold and coin hunting. Whites will bring out the new TDI II and the TDI Pro soon which will give you a choice for you kind of hunting. It is a killer on gold jewelry and rings. I think the TDI is a great addtion.

Thanks for the links Colorado Gold! That's the other question that has me concerned. I assumed that for $1,600,00 Bucks I will be getting the New TDI other than the PRO. They had to back order mine..Should be here tomorrow. Word on the street is that they designed the PRO for down Under,not that it matters much to me. Here south of Payson AZ we have lots of hot rocks in the form of Diorite....Sounds strange but due to the fracturing and inclusion of iron they can cause problems. My ML will Auto Balance most of them, Will be interesting to see what the Whites will do.Thanks again
