TDI beach hunting

Does anyone use this machine for beach hunting?
I was thinking of getting one for the oceans or am i better off hunting in all metal with the excal.
I know how to use a pluse machine I already use a dual field and the reason to get this one is becase you can set it to just dig low conductive targets (nickels, rings)
I was thinking of the TDI SL for a smoother threshold or am i better off with PRO

I use a TDI Pro as my favorite detector for most beaches, some areas are too trashy with small iron fragments to use it easily. I usually hunt exactly as you describe, ground balanced and set for low conductors only, with delay set as close to 10 msec as feasible to knock out larger iron. On a nonmineralized beach with moderate - to - few targets, hunting with discrimination off to acquire the target, and then turning on discrimination to decide whether to dig is a very powerful technique. It really helps to find a coin line to work on.
I chose the TDI Pro over the SL because I wanted maximum depth. But make sure you have a good scoop with a sturdy wooden handle; if the handle is metal, you probably will have to drag the scoop behind you to prevent interference.
I hope this helps.
