Finally! I am done filing my taxes!
I can believe Uncle Sam took 40% of my pile of clad!
Tomorrow I have to start over and find some more.
.................you guys claim your finds as income....right?

I sent myself a 1099 claiming my finds as income. Then a declared I had a side job as a prospector.
That way I was able to right off and depreciate my F75, pin pointer, pouch and shovel.
I was able to claim my road trips, gas, vehicle as business expenses............I am operating at a loss:sad:
But wow what a refund.

Sure, but I deduct mileage, equipment depreciation, clothing, medical expenses, safety equipment, cleaning labor & materials and site rehabilitation (I had to replace that sod plug with a worm - making him a dependent I could claim)..

I make way more in tax deductions related to detecting than I do in clad!
