Targets with good audio but no VDI number..

Better not pass them all up, yesterday I dug one of those signals and got a very deep IH penny. Now that may be the exception to the rule but I'm sure going to dig a few more of those signals. What has your experience been digging those audio tone only signals? I'm sure many of them are trash but this one seemed to have a better tone than most I come across.

with the sensitivity on 85 and disc at 10. This site if full of little pieces of iron and other farm litter. I've used 3 different detectors there and almost none of the coins I've dug have had a nice signal.

I have seen that too that I get some nice audio tones and no visual ID. I also notice that it was happening more than normal and tweak the GB in manual GB instead of fast grab and notice now I had a visual ID 99% of the time, so I wonder if GB has something to do with the visual, or I just got lucky all visual showed up after GB.
I did notice something today with the db mode and don't know if it would do this in the 3b, but was getting a lot of high tones with visual ID of anything from 32-60. The area was a old fairgrounds that has a lot of iron trash in it.

I've seen this too. I get what sounds like something you would want to dig based on audio, but no VDI. Nothing.

My assumption is it's a deep (or very small) target as the manual says that the audio and VDI are separate circuits.
