this is to add to the post tvr made. as was stated the lower gain circuits handle iron better, they run quieter in iron. Is there a cost related to this in terms of picking up targets next to iron or is that a benefit also? meaning masking which is probably hiding more coins than anything else. I know the lower conductors seem to be real problem for any detector when next to iron, when the disc is set to say reject a small nail. also theres a heck of a difference between testing this on the ground in your backyard and actually digging targets.
