A few tips on target trace before the season starts well for me anyway the snow almost goe's away then comes back in the single digits again :veryangry:
So a few tips on target trace I have dug many targets with target trace and no audio when I get a trace anywhere from 12.01 to 12.35 on the screen with no audio I have never dug just iron it always has a non-ferrous target with it . If the #s are 12.36 to 1250 This is where iron falses at and is displayed on the screen which makes it hard to see where the coin is landing at . Now with a surface hit say nail and a silver dime penny or quarter the trace well end up at 12.20 to 12.35 as the coin gets covered with more soil say 4 inches this 12.20 to 12.35 well show when swinging several times not as good as the false from the nail which well be at 12.41 and so on . So what i'm looking for is that 12.20 to 12.35 trace that comes and go's a lot of times you well get 2 or 3 traces close together at say 12.37 12.40 and 12.47 when you get this kind of trace dig other times you well get just one trace say at 12.40 no audio this is a harder one check bottom for iron is it hard in the corner or is it coming out . Also check in different separation pattern .
So any trace that happens from 12.01 to 12.35 with no audio dig there will be a non ferrous item in the hole with iron . How to tell what your digging before hand 12.20 to 12.35 well be a indian wheat dime quarter half or dollar . Now 12 08 to 1210 well be where a nickel lands this also can be 14.08 to 15.10 pull-tabs to
Now all targets that are found are swept 90 degrees first before going to other ways to analize the target .
The next time you hit a target any target audio or not sweep it from several directions and see what the machine is telling you it may not hit one way this is what you want to study and see what the detector is telling you . This well speed up your learning curve on no audio .
I still am stumped by the nail on the nickel vid I did why the vid stays the same tell the coin and nail are to deep , Then the quarter dime and penny seam to move to the right on the screen making it harder to tell compared to the low conductors .
The first video I well be making well be no audio live digs something I didn't get to last year but still have snow so have to wait. sube
