Target Trace- Wow!?

I got my CTX mostly for shallow water hunting. I travel to hunt the beaches. Last night I took the 3030 out for a quick land spin and for the first time engaged Target Trace. Having used Excaliburs, I hunt by ear/tone. Last night I found a deep dime and a full ring pull tab in a field across from my house. On both I knew they were potential targets worth digging. This based on tone quality and Target Trace. What is amazing, I knew the dime was a coin and I guessed correctly on the tab because of the lesser quality audio response. So it might be possible to tell the difference between a tab and gold ring by tone quality alone?

But just as amazing to me is I hit many targets in the field and it was as though Target Trace was painting a picture of what was under the coil! I could instantly see if a target was junk or 2 targets! I will dig some of those and make sure, but if Target Trace works like I think it does, this is truly Amazing! Combined with tone, numbers and screen placement, few good targets can hide using a CTX! What a great package the CTX seems to be!

Yes as I have said before, when Minelab comes out with a new top of the line machine, it really is an improvement on their current model and is worth the upgrade. It is an awesome feature when used just as you described, with tone and audio qualities included in the equation! I love my CTX!!
