target ID cursor jumping between 1 cent and 10 cent.would u dig?

Uh, yeah:blink:Why wouldn't you dig it up?

Not necessarily.......that's a high conductor reading...silver or copper. It could be a coin not laying horizontal or a nail close to the coin giving you odd readings. I would definitely dig it. Remember.....it costs you nothing to check it out. :)

Dig, dig, dig!! I dig just about everything that gives a good signal. Rely less on the display and more on your ears. You may dig a little more trash, but you'll be surprised at how much more loot you bring home.

If it jumps just from one bar to the next I would dig it as as said...a coin on edge, angled or a corroded copper Lincoln.

If it jumps more than 1 bar back and forth it possibly could be junk---but you will never know until you dig---it could be a nice relic, like a silver spoon or something else neat very close to a junk item.
I have dug some nice coins from junk filled areas and junk and coin were sounding off on the same pass of the coil.
You should dig most all target signals and try to learn what numbers each target item is.

Our here you will find alot of the aluminum corona caps stuffed with mud.LOL. Last hunt, on sunday.. disced it out. Found 3 quarters in one hole.!

Leaving out the iron junk for the moment, take the case of a pocket spill and they are all coins, say 2 pennies, a nickel, couple dimes and a quarter. Depending on how deep and how close they are to each other, you will get some interesting signals if they are all under the coil at the same time.

Now going back to the iron junk. I have found some wonderful targets that started out as iron reading but after removing the iron and re-scanning found something good. You just never know until you do some digging.

I agree with the saying "If you are not finding junk, you are not digging enough"

Good Luck

Jerry

I've found King George III half pennies in the 1 cent to dime range. I always dig those and the nickle signals that turn out being GOLD! Remember....When in doubt, Check it out!

Dig it...had a pocket spill that would have fooled me just sounded to
good not to dig but the numbers were jumping.
