Target Analysis slow to respond

Good morning all,

When I use the V3i in analyse mode on the potential target, the display seems to take quite a long time (6 seconds or so) to show any results. This happens in both sizing and polar plot. On the videos I watch, the results from the analyse sweep seem extremely fast, almost instantaneous. Anyone else see this happening? Is there a certain setting that would adjust this response time?
Also, using the "sizing" mode, I seldom get the narrow, high peaked wave shown in the videos. Even over a surface coin, the base of the wave is usually alot wider than coin size......my rule is set at 2".
I have learned not to depend on the results of "analyse" but I would like to have it as another tool to help decide to dig or not......on iffy targets.

My guess is that your sweep speed is too slow. I find the results to be more accurate with a quick "snap" across the target, but I never have a longer response than a second. You should notice thinner bars this way.

I also do not like using the same sweep speed and recovery delay on my Analyze screen, so I make sure "Match Search" is unchecked in the expert menu. You can set your own filter, sweep speed and recovery delay for analyze.

The Analyze Screen needs to have a period of time of no targets before and after seeing a target. So wait, thousand one, thousand two before sweeping the target and before re-sweeping the target. Pinpoint the target before analyzing. Off center sweeps can cause anomalous patterns.
Settings that are too hot can cause anomalous patterns or no patterns. Having your settings too hot may cause the analysis graph to trigger on ground. If there is enough noise to be triggering it within that required quiet time, then it cannot trigger to display the signal, or it triggers later and shows the wrong data. . If your noise source has signals that are as large as your deep targets, you will not be able to see a good reading either.
"Match Search" is the default setting. If match search is selected, everything that is selected for the SEARCH mode is applied to the ANALYZE mode. Un-checking the match search and changing the options different from your search settings can help. Rob
