I sent in 15 gold bands, 12 silver rings, and a couple of chains last week and they smelted my stuff down today. The gold was a mix of 10K and 14K with a little more 10K than 14K. I had figured roughly about $1000 to $1200. The 3.3 ounces of gold came out to a little over 1.4 ounces "payable" and the silver came out to 2.59 ounces. At current rates ($745/oz for gold) the check came out to $1028.22. I'm happy with that. It's already spent, on a deck addition for the backyard. And I have a nice start already on next years batch, which we have decided is going to fund a nice cruise. This hobby rocks!
