Taking notes for Finds during a hunt

If you are recording multiple Finds during a hunt, and need a way to record notes without a pad and pen/pencil, this is an alternative method. I have an iPhone. Minelab has an APP for iPhones on their website. Go to the Minelab homepage. Select consumer and then APPs. The one I use is the Treasure Tracking APP. I have selected the E-Trac in the APP, as the CTX wasn't available on the version of the App that I have. After you have recorded your find on the CTX, it will be named FP00?. Once you have that, use the iPhone APP, there you can take a picture, put in the name FP00? that was assigned to the find in the CTX, you can also, describe the find in the description box. Lat and Long is there also, and is in decimal of degree form. However, that info in my cell phone wasn't very close to the Lat & Long given in the CTX. The CTX info (my machine is showing this in D M S form) seems to be correct per Google earth and Google maps. Once you have entered the info, click Add New Find, and it should be saved in the iPhone. Once home and you have the XChange2 application up and the FPs ready to edit, you will be able to open the App in your iPhone and view the information of FP00?s, as you saved it. The only way to retrieve the info from the iPhone, that I have found, is to go to the Gallery in the APP, click an image and send that to your email. They will be a pdf file. Attached is a scanned image of the pdf file from the iPhone APP. I know this may not be of interest to some, but to the ones that like to keep records and document your finds, this is a very helpful tool. If you don't have an iPhone, but have a cell phone with video, you can just make a short video and describe on that, what the FPs are. Just different methods to not have to carry a notepad and writing device.......HH

PS - If you post anything with the Latitude and Longitude on it, you are showing the world that location. You see, in my picture, I have X'd out both Lat and Long..
