taking good close-ups

HElp I have a Casio Exislim and a Kodak DC260 zoom I cant get a good close up out of either one . I think my lighting is a big problem. Usually i am at my desk trying to shoot a coin and it always turn out blury. Any tip would be greatly appreciated
