First big thing, rather your hunting for old silver- G/S rings or just a fun day shooting Clad. You got to put yourself where theres some chance of action. Heres what I just did on a little park close to my home.
First I started with my smallest coil [In my case a Snipper on an Ace 250. Worked all the trashest areas, cleaned out a lot of tabs- Alum slaw & what not. This netted alot of change, including 14 nickels & a Silver Medallion.
This took 2 trips. About 117 coins mostly pennies.
Second next i switched to the AT Pro- When over everything all over- netted 16 more coins- 4 of them nickels.
Third Now I'm working my way out into the large areas With the Pro. Slowly. This is a lot of area so it will take a few trips.
Next afterwards do a fast trip with a small coil & move on. This is what I picked from some real vets.

How do I know that their good? Because a quarter mile away they hunt a park for old Silver. You can spend 4 hrs in there and be lucky to find 5 pulltabs & less than 10 coins. This is a bigger park too.!

Wow, a man with patience, but it looks like it is paying off. I guess because I'm just a little lazy, I always thought the reason detectors have discrimination is so we can avoid digging lots of aluminum trash, but I'm seeing now that the guys who don't mind cleaning out a little trash are being rewarded with some good finds. Keep up the good work, you almost have me convinced to dig those signals between 40 and 80. Had a pretty good day yesterday: 3 quarters, 1 nickel, 8 dimes, 5 pennies, and 1 button. Yes, I dug some pull tabs in my quest for the nickel. God bless, and good hunting. Roger in MI

The Ace 250 is a decent machine but next to the At Pro its like comparing a honda to a porshe. The At pro is simply a monster when it comes to detectors. Trust me ive owned quite a few detectors in my time and none have performed like this beast.HH

Yep hands down Pro's the better. I just don't have a small coil for mine. So I just keep the Sniper on the Ace to clean things out a little before I bring in the Big Guy.
