Finally ordered an Infinium LS . I waited as long as I could just in case Garrett brought a new version out, but I am leaving on a trip to the Australian goldfields soon and can
 
Good luck and have fun on your trip, if you can I would get a couple of accy coils to take along like the 8" mono and 10 X 14 mono. With these you should have all the bases covered.
 
Stay above 60 meter or you'll be in deep water:)

May you guide the coil over spots that will excite.

I just took the Plunge as well:

For the last 3 months I have been looking at everything from VLF to PI, and could not pull the trigger.
Last Saturday, I was in a local shop to plunk down the $$ for the TDI Pro, but found a like new
 
Good luck out there with your Infinium, you will love it once you have it figured out.
 
Had my first spin with the Infinium today. All went well, found the 10 x 14 DD a little heavy. I went over an area I have hit very hard with an X70 in the past, found a 2 cent piece that I had missed with the X70. Also found some deep bits of iron and aluminum happy so far.
