I found this in a field that I have detected many many times. I have found clad here,,indians, mercs, barbers. The place could really turn up anything.
But I found this the other day and just got to cleaning on it to figure out what it is. Both sides did look like this,,but now I have the other side clean enough to ID it!! That stuff comes very hard.

I have found Indians in this area that look like this before but most come out in pretty good shape. I really figured it was a Indian but overlooked what is obvious after seeing what it is. Take a look ,,will post picture of other side in soon.
I'm not going to keep you in suspense and would post the picture right now,,but I need to take the picture first,,oops ,,I forgot to do that.

Well I was going to wait till tomorrow,,but yall would be mad ,,,,after you find out what it is. lol I don't think in ten years of detecting I have found a coin this new that looks like this. 1995 What kind of industrial waste is being dumped in this place??? lol Although it is the first !!

I was so sure it had to be a penny,,I overlooked the size. And since dimes don't normally get into this condition .

I've found my share of deep coins like that and eagerly wait while I remove all the gunk to identify it. Mine usually turn out to be copper memorial cents. You're 9 cents ahead of me!
