My son has been doing very well the last week with his DFX. We have gone to some new sites and some hunted sites. He has been digging all the iffy stuff. All the silver coins pictured he has found. Now the two rosies were just by chance that he walked over them as they were only a couple inches deep. But the other dimes were all at least 6 inches deep. The one site we were at he told me to come over and check a signal. I swept it a half a dozen times and at different angles and all I could get was one flash of a 33. The rest were very solid iorn numbers and tones. I didn't even hear the 33 tone. Anyway, he couldn't pinpoint it but dug it and it was a deep wheat penny. The problem with this site was that I had to turn my sensitivity down to about 14-16 or I was getting constant iorn tones. I think the mineralization/moisture was masking the deeper targets at this site.
The seated dime Nate found in the soccer field of a school build in the 50's. I was quite shocked to see him pull that dime from this place. Must have been an old farm field at one time. Now we have to search the whole field.
