hi tab, wtg on your hunt today! silver is always good. a nice variety there. you know, that copper thingy you found with a shield on it sure does remind me a lot of a flattened civil war period union button, but i can't quite make it out. a fine brass brush will tell you lots more. look for a backmark. sitting next to the nickel, it looks to be about the right size too. you might could be a button dog too! hh,
