went out for about three hours today my mom and dads old house that has been hunted hard for years + small school yard I am very impressed with this machine first tried it it my own yard which I would have bet you $ 500.00 that there was nothing left in it, as it has been hit by a radio shack detector,CZ3D,and whites DFX and in about a 10' square area found a nickle at 4" and a dime at 3" that had two roofing nails in the same hole!
As for the rest of the hunt an astounding 16 nickles , 3 dimes, 10 pennies , and one quarter + a cool little metal war soldier standing next to a big propeller.
I am in love with this machine after one outing I really think that when I go to the old sites I'll find the good stuff ! ! !

Did you buy the standard T2 or the T2 SE?

Do you only have the stock 11" DD BiAxial coil, or did you also acquire the 5" DD coil?

If you have both, which coil did you use today?

As for your settings, please fill me (us) in on your approach to the learning task:

Discriminate mode Sensitivity ?
Discrimination level ?
Audio Tone ID choice ?
VDI readings for various targets ?
Ground Phase read-out ?
What chunk of the country are you in ?

Most of the readers like to gather details such as these, so while we all encourage you to spend the time learning and mastering the T2, you can teach us what challenges you're facing.

All the best with a great detector.

Your own settings in your Dirt and area, will play a key roll in success on "YOUR" hunt.

Sure it helps to know what works well for others, but to many times they will not exactly work for you in your area.

Monte has a thousand times more knowledge than I do.. and I am only agreeing with his last point about challenges.this post in no way is reflected towards his post..Just a reminder to new T2 users about getting it set up right for your area and your style detecting........

Preset is a good place to start..

Thanks Elton I agree whole heatedly this is the standard t2 6.5 version bought it in used new condition I cant vouch for the special but if it is half as good as mine I will have something to look forward to buying next after I get some hours in on this one.
