T2 Software

Forgive me for raising this again however just want to be sure on something.

I thought that the latest software version for the T2 were 6.5 and 6.6

However I have read that from 2011 onwards there is an 8.8 version.

Is this true, just want to make sure I don't buy a fake.

If you don't want to risk buying a counterfeit, buy from an authorized dealer.

I would and have done in the past Dave however this one is second hand.

I wish had never sold my other on on.

I have been a Fisher man for years.

Is there an 8.8 software version, that is my only doubt.

Hi I'm from Scotland and a few guys in our club have bought the fake T2s and TBH they are identical in every way except the logos,
apparantly they are made by the same electronics firm that supply Teknetics with their parts. The only problem is the coil that is supplied
with them is rubbish and does'nt work but a used or new genuine T2 coil makes the machine perform exactly the same.
the price is around $280 as opossed to around $1200 over here so a massive saving to be had.
For years detector firms have been ripping us off for our machines when there can't be more than a few bucks worth of electronics,
plastic and metal in them. Maybe this will make them sit up and notice that the chinese are very good at copies and do something
to address the overpricing that goes on. For instance over here in UK the new CTX3030 does not cost less than $3000 bucks,
would you guys pay that amount for some wires and plastic? I think not.

It is a lot cheaper to buy a fake, because the fakemakers don't have to pay for research and development. Lot of
effort goes into any design of any product. Personally I think the original company deserves profit and the
engineers deserve to get paid. If they don't, there will be no product improvement and we wouldn't have all the
neat stuff that is available.
China is a perfect example of ripoff artists digging into our economy and hurting us badly and I refuse to buy
chinese products of any sort. Someday someone will take advantage of your efforts and you will be angry
and wonder why it happened.

Hi Rich, I totally agree with you and personally I would'nt buy a fake for the reasons you Quoted, But I still think the price
of detectors is still over inflated, well for us in the UK it is, It would be a bit more pallatable if our prices were similar to
yours in the states. Then again thats more likely the fault of our government with all the taxes they lump on to everything.
