Well, i make no bones about it. I just can't seem to find the groove with the t2 hunting on grass with modern trash. Seems to me it's almost to fast, if there is such a thing. I have actually been thinking of gettin rid of it just for that fact. I think it's the best i've seen in iron though, i took it out for a bit in an iron ridden homestead and right in the middle of everything this popped out. I could almost hear the machine snicker, get rid of me now..........

Please be very accurate, and tell me what are ALL the settings that you used on that 'trashy' site.

If you can't remember, then tell me what you would normally use when contemplating such conditions. Maybe we can think up a strategy that improves matters......Thanks, Matt.

In the homesteads with loads of iron, been running the disc. at 19, 2+ tones, but a good ground balance is the most important i think in the iron. I will do a fastgrab in three diff. clean spots and then manually set it to the avg. Also, i keep the sens. down just a tad from where i could actually run it. I have been hittin some small brass that will give the iron burp one way, did pull a small cuff button that did this. I didn't picture the pile of brass and lead also dug. I know they say a faster swing speed is better with this unit but i crawl through sites like this. HH

Pretty much all the grass sites i hunt are still in use and have an unbelievable amount of tab, can slaw. For the same reason i like it in iron,(recovery speed), i don't like it in aluminum. A lot of it is self admitted my impatience, again in these spots you have to crawl and check every signal, that gets tiring when you get 10-15 hits a swing. I know the machine has the capabilities, I have always been a fan of tone id, but i find myself running the 2+ mode most all the time now just to avoid the high tone bleed over. I'm gonna keep trying, on the third set of batts. maybe it'll all come together..HH

Thank you Blee, great info. I might be using it this Friday, I expect to be hunting a site where a mid-1700s house was just removed.

That's a cool find blee,

I don't know if this is true but I read somewhere they punched holes on smaller size coins and thread them to ones clothing?

Congrtas,
