T2 se ltd or f75 ltd se??

I already have a t2 classic, but i am a cache hunter 98% of the time, (when i do hunt). Of the two mentioned above which would you recommend. I really like for my detector to run quite, i am just used to that and i prefer it that way. My t2 runs quite.
I would like to hear from the owners of both your strong points on each detector. Keep in mind 98% of the time it will be in a cache mode or boost mode.

When I had both a F 75 and a T2, I found the F 75 to be a little deeper on coin size targets. I've never had emi problems with my F 75 DST.....and I mainly urban coin hunt. HH jim tn

I have never owned a F75 but i do own a T2 and its still the original one,the boost mode in theory is a good idea but is only really any good for pinpointing a deeper target rather than running in boost mode all the time, the signal is not as clear as normal its more grainy as i call it.You dont mention if you would be using it just with the stock coil or even what type of ground conditions.Using a detector with a boost mode and calling yourself a 'cache hunter' is very vague, you do mention that you will be looking for 'cache hoards' 98% of the time then prehaps another more specialized machine may be the better route to go down.

Are you looking for a special 'cache' in particular or just hoping of finding one as a result of using a slightly deeper detector ?? to increase the chances of finding one its worth doing plenty of research into say things like location, asking local folks about the potential of such a find being in the area, then of course the detector is a very important part of making it all worth while.Just buy buying a detector with a 'boost' mode does not mean you will find these 'big payday' finds.

If i pick up on the trail of a possible hoard site here in the UK,the 1st initial suggestion of such a hoard in the area is when you start finding a few scattered coins in a tight radius this usually is because a plough has gone deeper than before and taken the top of a pot that has possibly been in the ground for a few thousand year,as a general rule pot hoards or infact they could be in leather or even iron container are in the 15''-24'' depth range,a normal T2 with a large coil will do for most needs, but i also do use either a Pulse machine or a couple of Nexus machine that the T2 wont reach depth wise. But before i start digging deep i have to bring into account my 'reward to effort' ratio as shifting alot of soil can be back breaking work for little returns on the effort.

We are lucky here in the UK that mamny many hoard are still awaiting to be found.

Thanks Jim tn, on your f75 does it have the new dst shielding in it? Does it run quite with high sensitivity settings or running hot?
Also did you test it against a regular t2 or a t2 se?

As far as the coils they would be stock, ok. My soil doesnt matter, because i am asking your opinions about your detectors. I am also only asking the ones who own one or have used one (f75 ltd or t2 ltd). Just have to trust me, i have the t2, i already know what it can do. I like it ok. I am only trying to figure out if its better to have cache mode than not have one. the way i am thinking it WOULD be better to have one, regardless of soil conditions.

Dave Johnson, one of the head engineers at FTP and well known to most everyone in the hobby for his designs and products over the decades, (up to and including both the T2 and the F75), answered this or at least gave his opinion on this subject on another thread recently.

He stated to this date he has never known, talked to or heard of anyone that has actually found a cache using cache mode.

This opinion carries some heavy weight...then again there might be many that found caches in the the past but nobody knows about them because they won't talk about it for obvious reasons.

I can tell you for a FACT that caches have been found with metal detectors. So please don't keep believing that. I knew Dayne Chastain that wrote the book ( follow the signs) . Trust me they have been found. People that find them don't go around blabbing it.

I was referring to cache mode on the F75 which is what you specifically asked about.
Of course caches have been found with metal detectors.
