T2 SE and Boost power

Well folks, I finally had a chance to take my new T2 SE out for a real test, and I must say that I am impressed!....I live in Upshur County West Virginia, and a buddy and myself got permission to hunt the old Upshur County Poor House....I researched the location and the old house is still there--just abandoned. Setting up the T2 SE with the 5"DD, and setting sensitivity 60, disc 40, and hunting in BP I must say that I was amazed at the depth I was finding coins...I found a 1927 merc, 1900 barber qtr, several wheat pennies, and a copper coin the size of a Large Cent with the liberty bust intact. However, when I got it home and started cleaning it, I noticed that the edge was ridged like a quarter or dime--this obviously wasn't a Large Cent. Additionally, the back had an eagle on it and not the wreath with the one cent logo...Taking that into consideration, I soaked it in peroxide overnight, and many of the details became clearer....Wording on the token (not a coin) was "Comp S. Mark", which turned out to be a gaming token manufactured in Germany back in the 1850s...Has a hole through the top of it, and the date was never stamped on it....This token was fashioned after the Coronet type 20 dollar gold coin. I thought it was a cool find! I will have pictures to follow. On the Barber qtr, the minerals in the soil seem to have penetrated or manipulated the silver because it does not seem to shine up like silver typically does--it has a grayish patina rather than the brilliant silver we enjoy so much---open to suggestions on how to bring the shine back...The quarter was 8" deep and found with the 5" coil so I am impressed. I also found a one-pc button that has a floral design similar to the NC Militia buttons used during the Civil War--minus the "NC" stamped in the middle. Again, I will be posting pictures for help in Identifying it. Thanks Bart for bring this detector into my life..I have a lot to learn and I'm well on my way. PS. My buddy was hunting with a Safari Minelab and couldn't beleive how fast I could move through the trashy areas and still find good stuff. He found a few wheat pennies and a merc...The Safari is a good machine but I was really proud of the T2SE on its first real hunt.

THE STOCK COIL WILL DO GREAT IN TRASHY AREAS. DONT BE WORRIED WHEN USING IT. ADD SOME MORE DEPTH TO YOUR HUNT. CONGRATS.

Thanks WoodChip...By the way, so everyone knows...the "Process" works...Thank you for the "process" WoodChip

Just requires some testing and a believe that cranking up sensitivity and lowering disc is not the best way to hunt some times. But to each his own. Continued success friend.

In terms of Indian head pennies, what VDI number do they typically register when hunting with the T2SE??
