T2 resetting during operation

Has anyone had trouble with the T2 resetting on its own while in operation?

Yesterday I was relic hunting an open field and when I would set the detector down to dig a target, once I picked it back up, the settings had reset to start up settings and I would have to dial in everything again. I wonder if the heat had anything to do with it as it was 97 degrees out.

Is the power/volume knob being finicky? I’ve had mine roll the volume down and such while in brush. Did it perhaps tip over? Do you have a cover on the battery housing? I’ve noticed some corrosion on my terminals in the battery compartment on mine. I would mess with the power knob and try to duplicate.

Probably a battery springs issue. If it's on warranty, call the factory and arrange for it to be repaired. If it's not on warranty, you might try stretching the springs a little, carefully.
