T2 Question???

Bought a new T2 last week. The problem I am having with it is when it shows a target in the seventy's on the ID screen, the left seven looks like a back ward letter "J" when it first comes up then it goes to the 7. Was wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their machine. I owned a T2 about 2 years ago and do not remember having this problem...or if it is a problem. Thanks

Nope, I have not seen that on my T2 ever. I've had mine for almost 2 years, never seen anything but numbers where numbers should be. You may want to call Teknetics tech support and ask them.

I bought 2 in the last 2-week's and they both were tore up the first one was going haywire straight out of the box constantly overloading even on zero sensitivity and erratic noise.Factory shipped me a new one because of it and the new one was showing the letters instead of numbers on the display backwards J's .. yes I know what you mean I shipped it back also and I'm though with the t-2 Cancelled my order on the 5 inch DD.. some one else can spend there money on one not me ...They have great technology just no built tough enough in my opinion.. I'm staying with the x-terra 70 for my target I'D detector in modern trash..

Good luck.

Keith... Gosh I don't understand... Back in January of this year you posted good things
about the T2. (Re: is the F75 worth the money difference over the T-2) posted on the
Fisher forum. It was through your recent posts I found out that the smaller coil was now
available...Over the years I have read your posts and learned from them. Do I now
understand you now just bought another T2 which didn't work and another was sent
and neither worked?

I wonder if they have... and are using... some bad parts from their supplier? Strange things
can happen. One small electrical gizzmo can cause trouble. Could this be what is wrong?
