T2 performance yesterday

I took the T2 yesterday to a church built in the 1800s which I'd searched before with Minelab machines.

I used a sensitivity of 50, 2+ tone with 0 discrimination. I wanted to separate the good stuff from the iron since I knew this site was loaded with rusty iron junk.

I forgot to fastgrab balance, and it still hit very solid on a nickle 6" deep in the highly mineralized soil here. When I did check the ground here it came in at high 70s to 90. As I said a ton of rusty iron, you couldn't swing without hearing several bits of junk.

It still gave me a bunch of coins and very little trash. The good to junk ratio was probably 5 to 1 in favor of goodies. That's a ratio I can live with.

The T2 is a very strong performer. Really the only thing I notice is it's VERY touchy as far as electrical interference goes. Otherwise it performs as well as anything out there I've used (which inclues the Sovereign, Advantage and Explorer) and probably better than quite a few.

You gotta love this combination of great performance, ease of use, light weight and long battery life. I'm still on my original set of batteries and I have 3 bars. I'd guess it's about 20 hours of use. Not bad at all.

I like the feel of this detector and how easy it is to set up. It seems very sensitive to small items and seen where some of the small items will read like a deep coin, but is actually a surface small target. Pinpointing is one of the best there is and now with the updates so the pinpoint sensitivity is adjustable I find it has the best pinpointing that is right on.
I too notice the electrical interference, but not real bad for me as most area I have been too don't have a lot of high voltage lines around. I do find for competition hunting this detector is not the best choice as it will chatter around other detectors, probably because it is very sensitive detector.

Good luck and keep us informed on how the T-2 is working for you.

I picked up a new T2 with the new updates on Sat.for a fantastic price
and I am really impressed by its performance also.It is great on nickels and in trashy areas.I was having a hard time with the pinpointing and decided to see if it would pinpoint doing the wiggle
thing like my EX11 and that works better for me than using the pinpoint mode on it.I think that my other detectors might be gathering
dust for awhile now. Gary
