T2 or T

Not necessarily, I think you might be on to something. I looked at the add and your perception was quite right. I believe theres enough market value and questions going on right now that Teknetics should create a web site for the T to the second POWER! Answering questions that many of us have would help to sell a lot of detectors. Customer service after the sale will bring many repeat customers back, and technical support and answers are very important in todays world.

Hey...they brought it out in prime season...Lets see technical support out here also.

Any body else want to see Teknetic's Website and customer support?

This is about as close as it's going to come for a while. This type of marketing is new to them. They read this forum, but they choose not to get directly involved. It would be a all day job for one to do. Just look at the majority of the post, 99% get answered quite well by the users on this board.

They did supply users with a phone number to call if that helps.

I understand Mr. Bill, and this is a very good sight for getting questions and answers done. Heck I've made my decision thanks to this Forum. I've tried the T2 out thanks to another brother, and have decided I'll purchase one for sure!
Just ordered the New Garrett 9.5 coil and cover also thanks to the forums on this site. Very valuable place.
In fact I'd go so as to say publically that this is one of the best knowledge based forums on the internet today! I appreciate the administrators of FIND's.

But even Garrett, Even Compass, Even Bounty Hunter, has there own web-sites, and Teknetics should be a ground breaking contender from what I've seen of it!

It would pay for it'self in short order for someone to be employed to run the Teknetics website. I'm sure for the investment they put into the creation of this detector that website information would inrease sales.

Professional across the Nation use the internet websites to increase sales. I can only believe that it would help Tek's sales as well as distributor sales.

A website that had distributor's location near you would be a good move for everybody!

However.... That's just an opinion on my part!

It's a little hard sometimes to invest the personal time and energy to provide answers for no other reason than a desire to help. A little reply back goes a long ways in encouraging that to continue.

In some instances a reply would be better left by a corporate spokesperson than a simple user, who has no access to tech-level documentation.

I'll defend the machine to a degree, but have no ready rationale for doing so. Well, I'd hate to see the product abandoned or see so little support that a smaller coil is not developed first.

But, answers straight from the horse's mouth would have more clout than my own quickly gathered and possibly ill-informed opinions.

I wish it was so also, but I'm not certain that there are any manufactures involved in the forum directly, with the exception of Tesoro. At least here at Finds there involved a little bit. They don't give any tech. info, but there around to help with other questions.

From what I was told they will be a smaller coil coming out. It was not at the top of the priority list, but it will happen. This is a detector that just hit the market 6 - 8 weeks ago, and it's a new venture to them. Mass marketing Bounty Hunter they understand. Making a "Pro" detector, their on a learning curve. The designers are not, but the bean counters are.

I feel confident that things will fall together quite nicely by late spring, early summer. ????

As Mr.Bill said, there is very little presence on any forum from a metal detector company. What I DO think Teknetics need to do is put up a website. The website needs T2 information as well as a link to their manual in PDF and online formats to allow people interested in the T2 to get the information they are looking for. As well as an email address and phone numbers. In this day and age it doesn't set well with some people when they don't have a website.

I guess I just read more posts where someone from (usually) Minelab was involved in the conversation and their comments get inserted. I'm also dreaming aloud a little.

Dave used to participate in some forums, but he did have more free time back then. I imagine he's one busy guy about now. You can regularly read replies over on Carl's forum from George Payne, who designed the original Tek machines and BH Red baron, among others. And there are other talented people talking tech from time to time. So it's not like it's dead silence across the entire landscape.
