Hi there
I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice, about 2 months ago my dog trod on screen of my t2, cracking lcd screen, rendering machine unusable, unfortunately my home insurance
did not cover me, machine was bought second hand so warranty was no go, so i sent off to repair guy, who ordered lcd screen from first texas through uk dealer,my machine has now been away 5
weeks!, the part has been on order for at least 3 weeks and nobody can or will tell me how long it will be. The repair guy has been very fair and would fix machine same day if part ever arrives. The uk dealer will not talk to me direct even though repair guy has no problem with this, he also will not answer email even though i am indirectly customer of his and potentially may sell my t2 and buy t2ltd through him. I have emailed first texas twice with no reply, have tried Kellyco in usa to source lcd screen with no luck.I am now left with no detector, and if i decided to sell my t2 i would be on the end of a very long queue for t2ltd and may have another detectorist go on site that i have had some good finds on. It was uk dealers advice on uk forum that i took to go down repair root in first place.
I have sung t2s praises to many peolpe, but feel let down when i need help . Knowing when part will come would at least be some comfort, i am sure if i was paying

They are still trying to catch up with the recent buy of of t2 and t2 ltds. They were on back order for a few months. I am sure that once things catch up, you will get the part you need and get it fixed.

It is terrible to have to wait so long but as long as the person you sent it in to is still talking to you, you are ok. You could always request it back and send it to someone else but ask if they have the part on hand first.

It''s with a repairman. he is staying in contact.
If you feel uncomfortable pick up your machine, wait till repair calls you that part is in.

As far as Distributor and yourself having dialogue..Most distributors only deal with their authorized customers. In your case (Repair Facility) it is near impossible for each, and every, end customer to be contacted. All they ( Distributor) would accomplish is being on phone, or computer everyday all day long.

It's nice that you praise the T2 to all that you have ( A fact).... But I doubt highly that this is a conspiracy against you ..First Texas does not know you exist other than you or someone bought a detector. Some where in their files is a warranty card if it was sent in. If it was before cards were issued only the receipt would have been proof.( You bought it second hand) so nothing exists........ Sorry your having problems, but again, it can't be personal as you implied.. It's just the saga of dealing through a second, and third party, added to "it's an overseas end product your repairman is trying to get for you".

It just takes time..It was suggested you contact Mike Scott..not sure in this case he could be of much help. All he could do is confirm the part was ordered
if you have all information to give him as to who, when , and from where the part was ordered. If you do not know that your back to ground zero.

Good luck and I hope all works out for you. I'm sure it will in the end.

Thanks for replys
Sorry for sounding frustrated in previous post, it would just of been nice to know even if it was going to be a lot longer, when part was likely to turn up, i do understand there is
probably an unprecedented demand for t2s, f75s and associated parts at the moment, maybe i should of not phoned disributor direct, but on the other hand his telephone skills were not
exactly friendly. Thanks again
