I've done a lot of home work and the manual has really enlightened my use of the T2. A lot of you guys have helped me with trouble shooting through the curves. Thanks to everyone of you for your help! This is a different detector. And although it is similar to others, it is most different.

Some really big names in detectors are trying the T2 out this weekend. I believe that this will be the spawn of some great competitions happening in detector manufacturing market in 2006.

I just hope my wallet can keep up! hehehe

So far I've tested the Teknetics T2, the Minelab Explorer, Whites 6000DI Pro, Whites 6000 SI, and a 5900 DI. I've ran the Teknetics 8000-8500- and a Mark 1. I've ran a tek Turbo, Several Bounty Hunter models including a Time Ranger, and a Scout, Ive ran a Garrett CX111, a Garrett Freedom Ace, and the GTI 2500.

I've detected for about 8 years now. I'm no where near a pro either. I do however take time to learn a detector and it's functions.

Guys for the money, I like the GTI 2500, but the T2 comes in second place and very nearly ties the first place GTI 2500 for my use.

However... due to the lite-weight of the T2 and the vesatility the T2 it is one most awesome machine. This is not a review....It's just an opinion.

The pin point mode is deep, fairly accurate. The ability to change the sensitivity of the pin point comes in quite handy! Hopefully with more time I'll get more precise with it. But for now the GTI has a KILLER Pinpoint mode!

Always remember that when the T2 is first turned on it is set at the factory medium sensitivity setting appropriate for most of you coin shooters. But for a relic hunter or Gold prospecting the sensitivity may need to be increased if the Gound condition will allow for it!

Man ...I am extremely impressed with the cost effectiveness of the battery life with this unit. Very impressive! Anything that saves us money in this hobbby is most appreciated. Thanks T2 Team!

The screen interface is really easy to access and you'll be able to adapt to it in no time at all. So if your considering buying a T2 but are worried about the technical learning curve...forget it, it's a piece of cake good neighbor! Pleanty of support from the T2 Forum.

Oh yea...did I mention comfort and lite-weight.

Don't forget that if your decision to buy a detector is due to coins ...gold...or jewelry, the T2 is the right machine to chose because it runs on 13kHz which is great for Gold,Jewelry and coin searching! If you weigh all the reasons, the T2 will make more sense than ever to you!

I have operated a lot of detectors. No where near all of them, but enough of them to realize that there is no one model that does everything, None find it all, there is no searched out ground!
And this T2 machine is a top of it's class!
What class is it in you say. Well it's in a class of it's own, First Class I'd say!

One thing on the short side with the T2. Had I invented this great machine....I'd have to have a Technical guy on the forum to answer questions and explain FAQ's everyday. It's a pride thong I'm sure!( Not too many people know what a Pride Thong is hehehe) But it's just good business.
Thanks for listening!:detecting:
