I managed to leave the Garrett GTI 2500 and SunRay at home yesterday....When to a local park where we found that 1500.00 ring. (Okay where the freakin wifey found that ring!) and I pulled a piece of an old tool out of the ground at 18"....I know your next question is now why would that idiot dig iron at that depth... I know... I don't why either ...except that I remember when the Garrett started singing and talking to me I had to dig it all to see that she wasn't lying but that she was saying that all that stuff was in that whole!

Well the T2 was giving me a good silver dime signal I thought...and I had to test it out....So I dug and I dug and I pulled that hunk of junk piece of old farm impliment out of the ground!Which I'll admit it also ID'ed that too! Darn ...I said Lying Som of a....but then I passed the coil over the whole one more time just as the Garrett taught me to do...Low and behold there was that good silver signal again and at 11 or so inches was a nice 1952 Roosvelt!
How it got that deep is beyond me...And how the T2 found it amazed me!

As I kissed the T2 and layed her to rest tonight I slipped her a Good night Hug! hehehe Sweet Deal and deep. I guess I was just lucky on the ID being correct as most are way off at this depth! But actually I was rather pleased again by the T2!

The dime appeared to positioned just to thr right of the chunk of iron, and maybe it did fall from the top...but I'd swear that it was buried in a dirt clod, the other amazing factor is that it was so dry here! No rain for a few days and 90 degree temps...wow just awesome I think!

How many other places can I go now to re-hunt....I mean you heard about the old farm home stead and 40 some coins from the schoolyard....I've got a lot more places to return to and see if the same thing happens there.

And like Jeff said, finding good stuff next to iron is one of the things the T2 was made for. Could have fell back, but just as easily could have not fell back and you dug it as it told you to. Time will tell.
