Cabin Fever has set in and its going to be 50 degrees tomorrow. Just got permission to hunt 5K acres with 3 plantation homes from the mid 1700's.. Hopefully the finds will be good and I can post some pics over the weekend!!!

Went out to one of the plantation sites today with 4 other guys. Found the typical period house stuff and do-dads. Walked forever! First find was a Flatty coat button early on. Then the day went longer and longer until I was messing around in the side yard. I got a "iffy" signal and decided to dig it thinking it was a pull tab or round iron ring. Thank goodness I did! Only four inches I found a War of 1812 1st Reg.Officer button! It has silver plate still on the front but no shank. I think it turned out to be a good day! Post a pic tomorrow!
